Privacy Policy
Shomra is a small, pre-launch company founded by Mary-Susan McLoughlin. Mary-Susan McLoughlin is the data controller responsible for the information described on this page.
What we collect
Only what you type into the demo request form: your name and your work email address. We also record the date and time you submitted it.
We do not ask for payment details, and we do not run advertising on this site.
Analytics
If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors use this site, for example which pages are viewed and which buttons are used. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_VWKTQBP7XM) and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser. We do not use it to identify you personally. If you click Decline or do nothing, Google Analytics does not load and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the button below. Google may process this data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google’s data processing terms. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. See Google’s privacy information at policies.google.com/privacy.
Why we collect it
So we can reply to you and arrange a conversation or a demo. That is the only reason. We will not add you to a marketing list or sell or share your details with anyone else.
Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you choose to submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
How it is stored
Your details are stored in our hosted database in the European Union (Ireland), protected by access controls, and only reachable by the people running Shomra. Entries submitted through the site cannot be read back by other visitors.
When you submit the form, we also receive an email notification through our email provider, Resend, using its EU (Ireland) region. Resend acts on our behalf under its data processing terms.
We keep demo requests for as long as we are in contact with you about Shomra, and delete them within 24 months of our last exchange — sooner if you ask.
Spam prevention
To stop the demo request form being misused, we temporarily create a one-way hash of the email address and IP address you submit from. This hash cannot be reversed back to reveal your original email or IP address.
It is stored separately from your actual demo request, in a table used only for rate-limiting, and is automatically deleted after a short period (about one hour).
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will action requests within 30 days, and there is no charge.
Contact
For anything about your data, email hello@shomra.ie. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Irish Data Protection Commission.
